I logged in as Lexi last night to do some baseline scans on the class five w-space she was in. It took me about an hour and a half to run down all eight sigs enough to know that there were four Ladar sites, two Gravitation sites, and two wormholes. One wormhole was the K162 that I came in through (from null-sec) and the other was a U753 leading into class six w-space.

Well, that makes things easy. No need to stick around to see what the static holes are for this system. With only one hole opening from here we know that one hole is static. A class five with static connections to class six w-space systems isn't useful for my corp. Time for a decision. Go deeper into w-space, or go back to k-space?

I chose to head deeper in. I jumped through to the class six systems and scanned. Four anomalies and five signatures. This time it took me less than 30 minutes to find out I was in the same situation. Three Ladar sites and two wormholes this time, and with a static connection was to class five w-space. No reason to stay here, and no turning back now. I jumped.

And found another empty system. According to DOTLAN, this new class five hasn't seen a soul in over 48 hours.

Four anomalies and fourteen (!) signatures. Not having the time to scan down fourteen sites, I recalled my can probes and logged.

I decided to try out blogging more publicly. I set up a site, and posted sanitized version of some of the stuff I've written here on the BG site. I'll continue to post new stuff in both places for now -- when there's sensitive information I'll remove it from the version I post on the public site. 

I'd like to eventually create a Wordpress skin that matches this website, but I'm going to wait and see how the whole blogging thing works out before I invest that kind of effort.
